PMNow (Proven Marketing Now) is a 20-person digital marketing agency. Since 2020, we’ve done one thing: get the phone ringing for home services businesses (plumbers, HVAC contractors, and electricians) across the United States.

Our main services include Local SEO, website development, Google Ads, and social media management.

We’re not a generalist agency. Our clients look remarkably alike: Same services, same buyer urgency, different cities. That focus is our advantage because what we learn on one account, we can apply to ninety-nine others.

The Role

You’ll own a portfolio of 35-45 client accounts and be accountable for two numbers: where they rank and how many calls they get.

We’re looking for critical thinkers. If a client is stalled you need to figure out why it’s stalled, and put a plan against it. We need someone who can diagnose and execute.

You won’t be inventing our methodology from scratch. We have a playbook that works, documented SOPs, and consultants who help us test what’s next. Your job is to execute that playbook at a high level across your book of business and to tell us where it’s weak so we can sharpen it.

You’ll work in a pod: you plus two virtual assistants who handle execution volume under your direction. Account managers own the client relationship, so you’re not on client calls every day. However, strong communication with the Account Managers is a must.

What You’ll Do

• Own ranking and call-volume outcomes across 35-45 home services accounts
• Diagnose underperforming accounts and build 30/60/90-day turnaround plans you can defend
• Google Business Profile optimization: categories, services, posts, photos, Q&A, review strategy
• On-site work: service pages, service area pages, schema markup, internal linking, technical fixes
• Off-page work: local citations and NAP consistency, entity building, local link acquisition
• Direct and quality-check the work of two VAs
• Adapt our approach for AI-powered search: AI Overviews, LLM citations, third-party mentions
• Keep account scorecards current and escalate at-risk accounts before they become churn risks
• Give Account Managers clear written updates on what changed, what it produced, and what’s next

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years in SEO with real local SEO depth– GBP, map pack rankings, multi-location or service-area businesses
• Portfolio experience. You’ve personally run 20+ accounts at the same time and kept quality high.
• Turnaround ability. You can take an account that isn’t moving and tell us why.
• You’re comfortable executing someone else’s playbook well. We want your judgment and your ideas, but this isn’t a role where you tear everything down and rebuild it in month one.
• Excellent written English. Your updates go to account managers who put them in front of clients. Clarity here is a real requirement, not a nice-to-have.
• US market experience and comfort working US business hours, 9am–6pm EST
• Tools: Ahrefs or SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Local Falcon (or comparable grid tracker), CallRail, ClickUp, Slack

Nice to Have

• Direct home services experience – plumbing, HVAC, electrical, restoration, or similar
• Demonstrable work getting clients cited in AI Overviews, ChatGPT, or Perplexity
• Experience training or mentoring Junior SEOs or VAs
• Familiarity with topical authority frameworks and semantic SEO approaches
